If you want to take the next step into living a more green and eco-friendly life, and you have already cut down single-use plastic and have cut down on the amount of packaging that you are using, then the next part is for you to move onto a fully electric car.

There used to be a really difficult job because there really wasn’t a lot of choices a few years ago, which was pretty sad for people that are true car enthusiasts, however, we are happy to tell you that things have really changed now.

Today we are going to be taking a look at a few options in order to help you figure out which is the best electric car for 2019, so if this is something that interests you and that you want to learn more about, then make sure to keep reading.

Tesla Model 3

The first option that we are going to talk about is, of course, a Tesla model. Since Tesla is the most famous manufacturer of electric cars in the world, it is no surprise that one of their cars ended up on this list.

The Tesla Model 3 is actually the most highly anticipated model form the company, and the reason for that is that this also happens to be the most affordable model as well.

However, just because this is the least expensive model, it doesn’t mean that the car is made cheaply. Even the most basic offers of any Tesla model are amazing, and the same goes for this car. Even at the entry-level, we really doubt that a lot of people will be disappointed with what it has to offer. The range that Tesla claims this car has is 254 miles on one full charge, and the 0 to 60mph is claimed to be only 5.3 seconds, which is definitely very impressive for what is the least expensive model.

The famous Tesla autopilot is also a part of the model, and that takes the edge of any long-distance journeys, and let’s be honest, it also adds to the amazing feeling that only a Tesla can give you. If you are willing to spend a bit more money, then you can also get the upgraded model, that comes with a dual-motor and all-wheel drive and with this car you will be able to cover 329 miles and go from 0 to 60mph in just 3.2 seconds.

Audi e-Tron

When you have some of the best and most popular car manufacturers in the world start designing and producing electric cars, then you know things are getting serious.

Now, Audi is the latest car giant to join in on the electric car journey, and they call their design the e-Tron and it is a definite competitor for the best electric car. This is the first attempt for full series production of an electric car from Audi, and we have to say that it is a definite win. As you would expect from a German carmaker, the standards and quality of the cars remain excellent as always.

You will get the usual Ingolstadt quality and all of the driving manners that you are used to by now from the amazing cars that Audi has been making for years, and all of that wrapped in the familiar SUV body that is the most similar to the standard Q5. The performance is very fast and the range for a fully charged battery is pretty good as well, and overall there is just very great normality and familiarity about a car that is pretty much all new.

We are generally very impressed with this car, but a fun feature that we really found fun is that there is a charging port in each of the front wings and that means that you can charge the car no matter how you are parked, or which side the port is on.

The claimed range is 248 miles and even though it weighs almost 2.500 kg, this is still an extremely fast car and it can get you from 0 to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds, which is extremely impressive, but not surprising from a perfectionist manufacturer like Audi.

Jaguar I-Pace

Similarly like Audi’s e-Tron, Jaguar’s first attempt at an electric car has turned out to be pretty great. It looks incredibly slick, like most of Jaguar’s cars, and it is a real alternative and competition to the Tesla Model X.

The great thing about this car is that it doesn’t feel like an electric car, same as the Audi and the Tesla, and you can see that it is one of the cars that will represent the future of electric cars. It steers and drives and stops just like any other Jaguar, which we think is something that Jaguar lovers will really enjoy.

This model has twin motors and they can go from 0 to 62 in just 4.8 seconds. However, when it comes to the Jaguar you should really refrain from putting the pedal to the metal too much because it can really take down the range that it will offer you.

Three excellent options and all three of them can be the best electric cars for 2019. At the end of the day, it will be the price and brand preference that will really decide it for you, and we hope that this article has helped you by giving you some of the best options that you have.
