Making a forecast about electric cars

As the world changes and grows, one thing is clear and that is that we are slowly, but surely, completely transitioning into a world where all cars are electric. The benefits of electric cars are clear.

There are almost zero emissions while running and no petrol expenses are just some of the main benefits that you will be able to enjoy, and despite some of the downsides, the electric car remains and is the best option we have for the future.

On the other hand, this is a business like any other, and like any other business, it has its ups and downs as well as predictions of what is to come from leading experts all over the world.

Today we are going to take a look at electric cars forecast in order to try and get a better idea of what to expect, so make sure to keep reading if you are also interested to learn more about this topic.

Completely switching to electric cars

This may not come as a surprise to some, but we feel that most people will actually be quite shocked that we are looking at a very large transition into an electric car world as early as 2025.

Thanks to some of these predictions a lot of carmakers are already preparing to phase out combustion engine cars and a huge reason for this is that a lot of governments all over the world are putting this kind of pressure on their local car manufacturers in order to help tackle fuel emissions, which are one of the biggest threats to our Planet.

The growth of electric vehicles and even hybrids are constantly climbing and it is actually expected to reach a whopping 30% in sales by 2025, which is a huge difference to what we have today, which is just around 1%.

The predictions right now are that this number should grow to about 8.4 million vehicles by the year 2025, which will be about 7.7% of the entire market share. However, the sector that is expected to make the biggest growth is actually the hybrid sector, which is estimated at around 3% no and is expected to go all the way up to 23% of global sales over the same period of time as the predictions for the electric cars.

As you can see, the future looks quite bright for this business.

Charging stations and more batter duration

The next electric car forecast that we are going to talk about has to do with charging and charging up stations. As you can see from some of the numbers that we spoke about above, the number of electric cars that are being used grows every single day, and the future looks really bright as well.

The next thing to tackle now is the fact that the infrastructure in terms of charging stations needs to seriously grow. It is probably no surprise that China is a leader in this field.

The State Council has a plan to have around a whopping 4 million new charging posts by the year 2020, which is only a few months away, as well as 1 charging stations and the best part is that some of the biggest companies in China are investing heavily in this cause. America is making some progress on this front as well, with California being in the lead with plans that include a billion-dollar investment in new stations and ports.

Last year there were around 600.00 new public charging posts installed all over the world, with over half of them in China. If the world wants to move in the direction of getting rid of all combustion engine cars, then adding more charging stations is a must, and as you can see the forecast is looking good.

Change of public transport

Of course, when speaking about public transport, it is no surprise that China is in the lead again. As one of the countries in the world that uses public transport the most, they have already been looking into more eco-friendly options.

The future of electric cars is already clear and pretty bright, and that means that the next logical step is for public transport to follow suit.

In fact, the Chinese government must’ve already seen some great benefits from the electric cars that are currently being used because they already have a plan in place. There is a local government policy right now that requires that at least 30% of all new buses that are to be purchased have to be electric vehicles.

This is something that will definitely cost the Chinese government a good amount of money and they will have to make the budget work, however, the good thing for them is that they are going to get their investment back, and much more, really fast.

It will also help with the mission to diminish pollution, which is excellent and something that will help the economy and society.
